Thanks to the Support of The Mee Foundation and The Ahearn Foundation, the Philharmonic Receives the Gift of a State-of-the-Art Digital Piano

Image of piano keyboard with a gold plaque stating that the piano is a gift to the Philharmonic of the Mee Charitable Foundation and the Ahearn Foundtion

Thanks to generous contributions from the George A. and Margaret Mee Charitable Foundation and the Ahearn Foundation, the Binghamton Philharmonic has proudly acquired a Yamaha N3X AvantGrand piano. This exquisite instrument made its debut last December during the “Winter Wonderland” concert, and has since been featured in “Pops at the Forum: A Tribute to the American Spirit,” “She’s Got Soul,” and two educational performances of “Classically Black: Great Music of African American Composers.” The piano will grace the Forum stage for many years to come, and, as a provision of the grant agreements, the Philharmonic has made the piano available to other Forum Theatre tenants. Our deepest gratitude to the Mee Foundation and the Ahearn Foundation!
