Music Education Overview

Empowering the Next Generation Through Music

The Binghamton Philharmonic is dedicated to enriching the lives of Southern Tier students. From first instruments to front-row seats, we provide the resources and experiences necessary to nurture a lifelong love of the arts.

Student Access & Ticket Programs

We believe financial barriers should never stand in the way of great music.

Youth Tickets: Thanks to our generous sponsors, tickets for children 17 and under are FREE for our Forum Theatre concerts. Contact our Box Office at (607) 723-3931 to order free youth tickets.

College Student Tickets: Currently enrolled students can enjoy Forum Theatre performances at half-price. Tickets are only available at the Box Office on the date of the concert. Student ID is required.

Educational Programs & Community Outreach

On the Town!: An annual tradition for Binghamton’s seven elementary schools. This free program includes a pre-concert dinner at the DoubleTree Hotel and an exclusive opportunity for students to meet Maestro Daniel Hege and guest soloists before the performance.

The Stand Partner Project: Brings the expertise of the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra directly into local schools. Click here for more information.

Maestro in the Classroom: Maestro Daniel Hege is available for classroom visits to discuss upcoming repertoire, the life of a conductor, and the inner workings of an orchestra. Contact us to request a visit: 607-723-3931.

Private Lessons & Mentorship

Through our Community Music School Umbrella, we connect aspiring musicians with the region's top instructors.

Teacher Referrals: Looking for private lessons? We maintain a directory of qualified area music teachers.

MusicLink Foundation: As a proud affiliate, we help students with musical potential and financial need access the instruction they deserve.

Get Involved

Music Instrument Drive: The Binghamton Philharmonic is seeking gently used musical instruments to donate to area schools. If you have an instrument that you no longer need, please let us know, and we will match it to an area school or music student. Instruments should be in working order and not in need of repair.

Are you a private music teacher? We are always looking to expand our referral network. Join our umbrella of educators to help grow the local music community.
