What to Expect at a Binghamton
Philharmonic Concert:
A Visual Schedule

The Broome County Forum Theatre with Philharmonic patrons of many ages standing outside waiting to go in while a security guard watches

The Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra performs at the Broome County Forum Theatre in downtown Binghamton. This is the outside of the Broome County Forum Theatre.

This is what the inside of the Broome County Forum Theatre looks like before the people arrive.

A crowd of people of all ages and genders standing in line in the lobby of the Forum THeatre

When I come to the theater, there may be many people there waiting to hear the orchestra. It may be loud or crowded. I may need to wait in line. I can go to the Sensory Room if I would like to be in a quieter place.

This is the Sensory Room. It is a quiet place where I can go at any time during the concert. It has a TV that shows the action on the stage so I will not miss any of the music.

Smiling Black woman with glasses in a red usher's jacket standing inside the concert hall

There are ushers with red coats at many locations inside and outside the theater. Ushers are there to help. I can ask an usher for help at any time. The usher will show me where my seat is and give me a program, which is a booklet that tells about the music that will be performed. Ushers can answer any questions I might have.

Audience members of various ages sitting in their seats at the Broome County Forum Theatre, some reading programs

There may be other people seated close to me. People may be talking, looking at their phones, or reading their programs while waiting for the music to begin. I can do these things too if I choose.

I may hear the orchestra warming up onstage and playing music to practice before the show.
