On April 29, 2024, Mayor Jared Kraham, the Philharmonic's Paul Cienniwa and Brian Nayor, and members of the Binghamton Police, Fire, and Rescue Departments held a press conference to announce the Philharmonic's Season Finale concert, “Other Worlds,” honoring first responders. WIVT/WGBH News was on hand to cover the event.

BINGHAMTON, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – A concert at the Forum this weekend is recognizing local heroes by offering free tickets to first responders and their families.

The Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra is presenting the “Other Worlds: Superheroes, Fantasy and Sci-fi” concert at the Broome County Forum Theatre in Binghamton this Saturday.

The Philharmonic will play the scores of some genre favorites such as Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Wonder Woman, and Black Panther.

The executive director, Paul Cienniwa, says first responders can get free tickets to the concert by calling the box office.

Executive Director of the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra, Paul Cienniwa says, “Because we are performing music of superheroes, we want to honor Binghamton and the surrounding communities’ own superheroes, our first responders. So, we are offering free tickets to first responders and their families. As ever, kids 17 and under can attend our concerts for free.”
