Sophia at the Symphony!

A Special Performance and Educational Experience

The Binghamton Philharmonic is thrilled to announce a special educational event next school year: Sophia at the Symphony. We are bringing the music of Apalachin native and violin virtuoso Sophia Werner directly to students for an inspiring look at where hard work and local roots can lead.



This isn't just a concert—it’s an opportunity for students to see a "hometown hero" who grew up in their community, now performing on the world stage.

"Sophia at the Symphony" is generously supported by the Avangrid Foundation. Additional support is provided by Mirabito Energy Products.

About the Artist

Sophia Werner grew up in Apalachin, NY, and has since blossomed into an internationally recognized violinist. Her return for this special project is a celebration of our community’s talent and a gift to the next generation of Southern Tier students.
